BUDE SQUASH CLUB - Championship finals |
Two days of fantastic squash now leaves us with just the finals to be contested.
As predicted the juniors have played a big part in the competition, Ben Fairclough had an excellent hard fought win against Steve Truter, followed by a win against Collette Burgess, which then put him against the No.1 seed! Jago Saxton has shown great potential playing against much more experienced (and older) opponents, Mark Page tried to trick his way past Vic Norrington but lost in 5, joining Jago in the plate competition. Tony Pepperell has progressed all the way by beating No.2 seed Tony Saxton in five games.
The Finals kick off tomorrow Sunday 24th at 7.30pm with the plate final being contested by Steve Truter and Mark Page.
The cup final will follow and involves Tony Pepperell and Rob Page.
The bar will be open ... so come on down and cheer them on....
